What Career Support Does Evolve Security Academy Provide?

Evolve Security Academy provides career coaching, resume prep, mock interviews, networking strategies, alumni connections, employer partners, and cybersecurity events where you’ll meet industry professionals. All of it is built into the curriculum of the Cybersecurity Bootcamp, the CyberCore Bootcamp, and the CND + CEH Bootcamp, so you don’t have to buy anything extra. Plenty of bootcamps promise “career support” in one vague sentence; this article lays out what ours actually includes. The OSCP Bootcamp is the exception. It’s focused on exam prep rather than a full career launch, so it doesn’t include the career support track.

‍

Does Evolve’s career support change after graduation?

Yes. Career support at Evolve shifts from building your foundation during the bootcamp to landing a specific role after you graduate. While you’re still in the bootcamp, your career advisor helps you build your resume, write your cover letter, plan your job search strategy, and practice interview skills. Once you graduate, the focus moves to tailoring your resume and cover letter for specific roles, working through applications, following up with employers, running mock interviews, and negotiating offers when they come in. You’re not handed a packet on day one and left to figure out the rest. The support follows you wherever you are in the process. Post-graduation career support is available to all students of the Cybersecurity Bootcamp and the CND + CEH Bootcamp.

‍

Does Evolve Security Academy place its students?

No. Evolve Security Academy offers career coaching to all students of the Cybersecurity Bootcamp, CND + CEH Bootcamp, and CyberCore Bootcamp. We provide career guidance and support, but we do not place you in a job. We help you with your resume, strategy, and interview prep, but we don’t submit applications for you or place you in a role directly. We will connect you with alums, clients, and employers in our network who have open cybersecurity positions. You have access to a career advisor during the bootcamp, and if you’re in the Cybersecurity Bootcamp or CND + CEH Bootcamp, you keep that access after graduation as long as you’re actively job hunting. What you do with that support (applying, showing up to interviews, acting on feedback) still comes down to you.

Who leads career coaching at Evolve Security Academy?

Diane Caimares-Gildea leads career coaching at Evolve Security Academy. She’s the Founder of Maximum Wage (Maximum-wage.com) and has 12+ years of experience in recruiting, employer relations, and career coaching with top companies including Indeed, New Balance, and General Mills. Diane hosts our career strategy workshops and alumni panels, including one where three Evolve graduates with completely different professional backgrounds talked candidly about how they broke into cybersecurity, what worked, and what they’d do differently. You’re working with someone who does this professionally outside of Evolve too, not just someone wearing a “career coach” title internally.

‍

What do Evolve graduates say about career support?

Evolve graduates consistently describe career support as hands-on help with resumes, LinkedIn profiles, job applications, and interview prep. You don’t have to take our word for it: those themes come up again and again in independent reviews on SwitchUp and Course Report, where schools can’t remove or hide negative reviews. One graduate said the coaching sessions gave them everything they needed to land a job by the end of the bootcamp. Another said their career coach helped build real confidence going into interviews, not just a better-looking resume.

What does networking look like at Evolve Security Academy?

Networking at Evolve Security Academy includes cybersecurity events, plus direct ways to reach out to Evolve alumni on LinkedIn. It’s more than a suggestion to “get out there and network.” Your career coach will help you identify cybersecurity networking events so that you can attend them. We also help with how to approach a new contact for networking and strategies for networking with cybersecurity professionals at events. According to LinkedIn, candidates who are referred for a job are nine times more likely to get it, which is why, during the bootcamp, we coach you to build those connections within your local cybersecurity community.

‍

Does Evolve Security Academy offer a job guarantee?

Yes, for Cybersecurity Bootcamp students. Through the Job Offer Commitment Program, if you don’t receive a job offer within six months of completing the bootcamp, your tuition paid to Evolve is refunded. The program asks for real effort in return: applying to jobs daily, showing up to networking events monthly, responding to your career coach within two business days, and acting on the feedback you get. Eligibility requirements apply, and the CyberCore Bootcamp and CND + CEH Bootcamp are not part of the program. Career support gives you the tools, the strategy, and a real person in your corner. The job search itself is still yours to run.

Bottom line

Evolve Security Academy has been helping students launch cybersecurity careers since 2016, and as of 2025, 78% of job-seeking Cybersecurity Bootcamp alumni have landed cybersecurity jobs. Our career support is specific enough to describe in detail, and graduates who don’t work for us describe it the same way. It runs on a during-and-after model and is led by a coach with real credentials outside Evolve. Your career coach will help you bring out your past experience and build a resume for your first cybersecurity job based on what you’ve learned in the bootcamp and what employers are looking for. Every student gets career coaching during the bootcamp, and Cybersecurity Bootcamp and CND + CEH Bootcamp students keep that support after graduation while they’re actively job hunting. If you’re comparing bootcamps on this exact question, ask each one the same thing: what does career coaching actually entail? Do I have access to a real career coach? How long is career support provided? At Evolve, we can answer all three in detail, and our graduates back that up.
